The British 8th Army

The British 8th Army is a British and Commonwealth field army formation that fought in the Italian and North African campaigns of the Mediterranean front in WWII. The 8th Army was very diverse in that it had units from all corners of the British Empire, such as Australia, India, Canada, South Africa and was even formed with units from allied Governments that were in exile such as the Free French Forces and the Polish II Corps.

Our doctrine is concerned mostly on discipline and the ability to follow instructions more than the ability to dodge bullets and hit targets effectively. Whilst aim and mobility are very important to individual troops, we prefer doing the job through teamwork. We also believe in good sportsmanship.
