Gion Higashi (祇園東) is one of the five traditional geisha districts (hanamachi) in Kyoto, Japan. Located in the eastern part of the Gion area, it is known for preserving classical Japanese arts and culture, particularly the refined performance traditions of Geimaiko. 

Though smaller and quieter than its neighbor Gion Kobu, Gion Higashi maintains an intimate charm with its historic teahouses (ochaya), traditional architecture, and seasonal performances. So make sure to come stop by with your best etiquette!
