𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐇 𝐆𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐒 The Irish Guards is a British Army regiment, and the fourth most senior infantry regiment of the British Army. As a part of the Household Division, the regiment prides itself on its grit, courage and loyalty and has served with distinction across the world since its inception. We provide high-quality infantry soldiering, being a light infantry battalion, our role is first and foremost infantry soldiers. However, the regiment takes pride in its ability to provide high-quality ceremonial soldiering. 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧 The Irish Guards were formed on the first of April, 1900 by order of Queen Victoria to commemorate the courage and sacrifice of Irish soldiers fighting in the Boer War.
