Description
The Global Empire, commonly known as the First Galactic Empire, was a galactic authoritarian regime that succeeded the Galactic Republic following the Clone Wars. The Empire was heavily military and totalitarian in its conduct, putting the protection of the galaxy as a whole first. Emperor Palpatine commissioned the development of the Death Star to eradicate any possible threats to the Empire's security and continued stability.
