After the complete abandonment of Urban Center #10, many Combine units were displaced with no assignment. This resulted in the formation and designation of the "PEACEKEEPER" Corps as a solution. The Corps itself was assigned to respond to any Urban Centers that are under a crisis of heavy rebellious activity, commonly providing back-up to already previously assigned ground units. Duties usually consist of intercepting rebel cells, disrupting resistance outposts, and identifying anti-citizens. All in the name of ensuring social-stability.

Units within the Corps consist of various displaced Combine units beyond just Urban Center #10, with dedicated and well-performing units dedicated to more specialized "PEACEKEEPER" divisions. These specializations range from area denial, citizen enforcement, escorting services, long-range combat, recon, and medical/engineering support. Currently assigned to Urban-Center 8.
