The Mozambique People's Army serves as the military force of the People's Republic of Mozambique and the armed wing of the Monke African National Union. Established in 1967 under the leadership of the Savill Bloodline, it received funding from the Eastern Bloc, successfully defeating Portuguese colonial forces, and liberating Mozambique under the command of Marshal Prava.
