Phoenicia is a ancient civilization which started from 1500 BC - 300 BC. Phoenicia lies near the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, which is now modern Lebanon.
The Phoenicians were a great maritime people, known for their mighty ships adorned with horses’ heads.

The Phoenicians were primarily known as sailors who had developed a high level of skill in ship-building and were able to navigate the often turbulent waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

The Capitols of Phoenicia are Byblos and Tyre.
