Tradelands: Monterya

Monterya, a Fief located in the Grand Isles, established on an unknown island used as a base by many Merchants and Pirates. 
The island is not under control of the Royal Navy or the East India Company, making this a rule-free port. 
Many ships call at this port to trade without the high trading costs of any nation.
Although this being a rule-free port, Barbarians try to conqueror the island from time to time.

Due to the attacks of these Barbarians, the population has appointed a Lord. 
This Lord, retired from the Royal Navy, has hired a handful of Guards and managed to set up a Navy to protect themself and their Citizens.
In cooperation with some allies it is possible to keep the waters around this island safe for these threats.
Despite all the security, the island's fertility and mineral wealth, there are still some individuals who try to carry out an attack on the current Lord and his men.
