Description

The Antelope Band was an important Comanche Indian group whose territory was the Llano Estacado. The name means antelope, the animals being numerous in that area and forming an important part of the Comanche diet.

Many of the most famous Comanche leaders were from the Quahadi band, thus the band often functioned in an administrative role for the Comanche Tribe as a whole.
