The Port Authority of Mayflower & Quanahassit was established in April of 1921 through an interstate compact ratified by the Congress of the Union of Columbia between the State of Mayflower and the State of Quanahassit. During the the Second Great War, both the State of Mayflower and the State of Quanahassit had been primarily chosen by the federal government to process supplies that would be delivered to the frontlines in Europa via sea, though many issues arose between both states regarding the usage of seaports and the money they had been entitled to by the federal government. In turn, both states agreed to form a joint venture via interstate compact, approved by both legislatures of the partnering states and the federal legislature. Today, the Port Authority of Mayflower & Quanahassit acts as the interstate-level transportation and logistics agency of the State of Mayflower and the State of Quanahassit.
