📜- The Byzantine Empire was the direct continuation of the Roman Empire. Maintaining the lands of Rome in the east, it eventually became what was left of Rome after the Western Roman Empire collapsed. After centuries of being the most ideal and influential civilization known to the ages, the empire now finds herself in a new era, surrounded by nations who now wish to challenge that status.
