The Georgian Regular Army was the national military force of Georgia during the turbulent years following the collapse of the Russian Empire and the brief independence of the Democratic Republic of Georgia. Formed from Georgian units of the former Imperial Russian Army, volunteer detachments, and newly raised national forces, the army played a crucial role in defending Georgia's sovereignty amid regional conflicts, foreign interventions, and the spread of Bolshevik influence.
