At SolarAid, we believe that everyone deserves access to clean, safe solar power, no matter where they live. 

For millions of people across sub-Saharan Africa, the working day ends when the sun sets. For many, their only option for light is to use kerosene lamps, paraffin candles, endless poor quality batteries and even straw fire. These are dangerous and toxic, polluting peoples lungs and the planet. 

But, we know there is a simple solution – solar lights. At the flick of a switch, solar lights allow families to earn, children to learn and the planet to breathe a bit easier. 

Working alongside rural communities, entrepreneurs and development partners, we are developing creative and innovative solutions to ensure that every home, school and clinic has access to clean, safe solar power.
