The Milky Way is constantly rotating at an incredible speed. The galaxy’s stars, including the Sun, orbit the center at roughly 828,000 kilometers per hour. Despite this rapid motion, it takes about 225 million years for the Sun to complete a single orbit around the galaxy’s center. This journey is known as a "cosmic year," and during this time, our entire solar system moves through various regions of the galaxy, encountering different star systems and cosmic phenomena.
