If you are a chairman, you are responsible for overseeing the board of directors, that doesn't mean you get to remove them. No board member (Secretary, Treasurer, Vice Chairman, Chairman) can remove each other. It is up to the shareholders to remove the board member. Also, no board member can individually remove any C-suite officer or board member. They must vote to elect & remove a officer.
