🪖Spanning from Bohemia to Transylvania, the Austrian Empire was one of the major powers of Europe. but after humiliating defeats in the wars of the First, Second, and Third Coalition's to the French, she became bitter and vengeful. In 1809, the newly reformed Austrian army, remodeled along French lines under Archduke Charles, would challenge France's dominance over Europe once more, but this time alone. The aforementioned war would eventually lead to Napoleon's first major defeat at Aspern-Essling.
