The SRA managed and operated railways in the Australian state of New South Wales from 1980-2004 and in 1989 the SRA was split into 4 divisions, CityRail operating railways in the Greater Sydney region, CountryLink operating trains in regional NSW, FreightRail to operate freight trains within NSW and Rail Estate to manage property owned by the State Rail Authority.
