Bondi Council Lifeguards

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 

Bondi Council Lifeguards employs professional lifeguards to protect visitors at Bondi. These professional lifeguards wear blue uniforms and work for 365 days every year. The volunteer lifeguards wear red and yellow uniforms and assist the Bondi lifeguards on the beach at weekends and on public holidays during the summer period. 

What qualifications do our lifeguards have? 

The Lifeguards must go through certificate trainings to then perform or drive to a emergency. They must get their Basic Life Support Certificate, Advanced Resuscitation Certificate, their Driving Certificate for the Rhino's and finally their Jet Ski Certificate. Note, to get to Trainee Lifeguard, you must attend one of our introductory training sessions where you will learn the fundamentals of being a lifeguard.
