Red Forge Rail Group was founded in 2018 to succeed the former Greg ortown and Red Forge, formed in 1960, after several additional freight secondaries were acquired throughout the 2010's in South Central Pennsylvania. The company does freight business as Red Forge Rail, and tourist business as the G&RF, which most of the equipment is lettered for. Tourist operations are run over the Red Forge Branch between the railroad's namesake towns utilizing either vintage diesel or steam power. Whether it be freight or passenger, diesel or steam, old or new, we invite you aboard to explore our scenic maps, chase our trains, or join our crew in making this experience possible.
