In the year of our Lorde 1938, upon a fog-veiled isle beyond the Venetian lagoon, stands the Stillwater Asylum for the Mentally Unwell. 
Once praised as a refuge for fractured minds, the institute has since fallen into obscurum rumor.

Patients awaken to find the asylum altered. Corridors stretch into unfamiliar labyrinths, doors open to wards long erased from recordum, and the halls themselves seem to shift like a restless dream.

The attendants, known only as the Custodes, promise claritas mentis through strict and mysterious treatments. Yet those who return speak little… and never the same.

Scattered journals and strange instruments hint at experiments beyond medicina, attempts to reshape the human mind itself.

Some whisper the institute is guided by an unseen presence within its walls.

Here, the boundary between sanitas and insania dissolves.
