The Petty Kingdom of Connacht is a feudal realm in western Ireland, stretching from Galway’s fields to Sligo’s shores. The local population of Gaelic Celts refers to their rulers as the Connachta, monarchs who claim their lineage to the legendary Rí of Connacht: Eochaid Mugmedon. The kingdom has a rich history spanning centuries of glory and stability under several dynasties, who led the Connacht domain to great extents.
