Prussian Military Honor Medal 1st Class

The Prussian Military Honor Medal (Militär-Ehrenzeichen) was a two-class military decoration awarded for bravery and meritorious service by enlisted soldiers and non-commissioned officers of the Kingdom of Prussia. Originally established in 1814, it consisted of two grades: the 1st Class (a silver cross) and the 2nd Class (a silver medal). It was awarded for actions not warranting the Pour le Mérite or Iron Cross and could be given during both wartime and peacetime
