A worn yet durable empty metal cylinder enclosed by a semi-permeable transparent carbon film. Hundreds of these so called "HIVE Actuators" were recovered on the dead planet "Eden-227" by NHI Voyager detachment #159 and were found completely empty.

Closer inspection has determined that these cylinders were designed to contain and release poisonous genetically-modified insects, although the expeditionary force was unable to find these supposed insects.
