Tachi (Back)

(Why are you wearing a tachi, of all things, like this? I mean... you could, but why?)

Recreated by Nomino Heavy Industries' Historical Branch Division, this functional replication of a 16th century Japanese "Tachi" is larger than its gilded derivative and has been fitted with proper ito-wrappings alongside a menuki and 2 "mekugi" pins instead of 1 for added safety. 

Being the precursor of the more common Katana, Tachi tend to be longer and more curved, as well as being worn with the edge facing down instead of up. This one has been decorated with gold inlays and has a "mimigata" hamon temper line on its blade.
